Rental Terms and Conditions

1. Nature of Booking Requests

Any submission made via carszone.info or via telephone represents a Booking Enquiry and Availability Request. A binding rental contract is executed only after CarsZone reviews vehicle scheduling, confirms customer eligibility and documentation, collects the required rental advance/deposit, and issues an official handover agreement.

2. Driver Eligibility & Document Requirements

• Age Requirement: The renter and any authorized co-driver must be at least 21 years of age (25 years for luxury vehicles).
• Driving Licence: Must possess a valid, non-expired four-wheeler driving licence held for at least one year. Learners' permits and digital photocopies are not accepted.
• Identity Proof: Must present an original government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID). International drivers must present an original domestic licence plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and Passport.
• Sole Authorized Driver: Only the person(s) explicitly vetted and named on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.

3. Security Deposit & Payment Policies

A refundable security deposit is collected prior to vehicle release. Standard deposit amounts are: $100 (Economy), $150 (Sedan), $180–$200 (SUV/MPV), and $500–$700 (Luxury). The deposit is refunded within 24–48 banking hours after vehicle return, deducting any pending toll charges, fuel discrepancies, traffic challans, or documented minor damages.

4. Prohibited Uses & Operational Restrictions

The renter agrees that the vehicle will NOT be used for:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or intoxicating substances.
• Sub-leasing, unauthorized ride-sharing, or commercial passenger ferry services.
• Motor sports, racing, speed trials, vehicle towing, or driving on prohibited off-road tracks.
• Transportation of contraband, hazardous goods, or illegal materials under Indian law.
• Exceeding the legal passenger capacity or permissible manufacturer payload.

5. Fuel, Mileage & Return Standards

• Mileage Cap: Each 24-hour rental includes 250 km (300 km for Innova Crysta). Additional kilometres driven are billed at the vehicle's published rate upon return.
• Fuel Policy: Vehicles are delivered with a recorded fuel gauge and must be returned at the same level. Surcharges apply if returned lower.
• Late Return Grace Period: A 45-minute grace period applies. Returns exceeding this grace period are billed as an additional partial or full day rental.

6. Vehicle Damage & Insurance Arrangements

All vehicles carry valid comprehensive motor insurance as mandated by Indian transport regulations. In the event of an accident or collision:

• The renter must notify CarsZone immediately at +18557592079 and file a Police First Information Report (FIR) where third-party injury or major damage occurs.
• Renter liability for insured damages is limited to the insurance policy deductible, provided the renter has complied with all terms (no drunk driving, authorized driver behind wheel).
• Damage resulting from intentional abuse, negligence, driving through flooded streets, or undercarriage impact is the complete liability of the renter.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and all agreements executed with CarsZone are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute, grievance, or arbitration arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
